Hello Families! With Friday ending with a power outage, it delayed our news. So I'll give you some updates today.
On Friday, we said good-bye to Miss. Newton. She was a great help in our class twice a week from Rochester college. The children enjoyed her.
You can see the photos below and how we were practicing fractions.

Tonight is our music concert. The students practiced this afternoon in front of a good size audience. I think they are ready for tonight. Don't forget to wear pajamas and bring a furry friend. Along with the concern, our book fair will be open and you can enjoy the amazing art work around the school. Doors open at 6:00pm. Students need to be in the music room at 6:15pm. The concert starts at 6:30pm. You can walk around the art show after the concert. It lasts about 30 minutes or so. I'll see you tonight!
We have so many spring birthdays to celebrate! Yesterday was Olivia and today, Jack! Happy birthday to them both.
We have our field trip on Thursday. Right now, the weather does not look that great for us. So please be sure your child is dressed for the weather. We go rain or shine. Also, be sure they pack a lunch that is in a brown sack/bag and completely disposable.
For our parent chaperones, please bring a bag to help carry the lunches of the students you will be assigned to assist throughout the trip. Thank you.
We will continue with fractions this week and next week. Then move into more multiplication and division strategies. Please continue to practice telling time, counting money, and regrouping double digit addition and subtraction.
