It was such a pleasure talking with you this week. I am excited to see these next few months of growth with your children.
As you know, next week is only two days because of the Thanksgiving Holiday. There will not be any spelling words. We will resume spelling the following week continuing with Unit 2, week 4.
Take a look at the quick pictures from the past couple of days. We celebrated birthdays, enjoyed reading some big books about animals and their habitats, and explored some treasures that we might see in a reef habitat. The kids are loving this animal unit and so am I!
Thank you for those who stopped in at McDonald's yesterday for the fundraiser. Several students were excited to see some classmates there at the same time!
Next week, Tuesday, some of our Girl Scouts at Morgan will be hosting a fundraiser. Please have your child wear green to school and perhaps bring a quarter or two.
Keep practicing naming the coins and telling their value. This is a skill we will practice all year. Plus, counting coins, adding more, rearranging them, and taking some away. A life skill that is important, so please utilize some of your busy time to help your child understand money.
Also, please help your child learn to tie their shoes, boots, and hoods. As the winter weather is approaching, we are losing lots of instructional time to get ready for recess or undress after. To help with this process, if you help your child learn to tie, dress, and undress themselves, it will be most appreciated.
Thanks for reading this all they way down here! As a reward, if you would simply drop me a quick email with your child's name as the subject, I will surprise them with a $5.00 Excellence reward next week.
Enjoy the weekend!
