Yesterday, Mrs. Murray our school social worker, stopped in to talk about how each person is special and unique in our own ways. I invited her in to give the students a new voice about our rule of being kind. We also will be inviting a student into our classroom during our station time from the AIMS program. He is a second grade student and I wanted to be sure our class remembers that everyone is their own individual with feelings, no matter how they look, speak, or need extra help. Your children were wonderful and caring!
Please note that we do not have school on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Day. For those children who are assigned Monday for Write and Tell, be sure they bring it on Tuesday. All other days come in on their assigned day. This is a weekly writing homework lesson. Thank you for the support.
Once again, I'll be holding winter conferences on Wednesday, February 5 after school. I will send a note home on Tuesday, but I'm asking for a quick return by the end of the week.
Remind your children that they can practice reading and math at home any time! Use the tab for Online Links and your children know their login information. This is great to reinforce learning at home.
