Couple of mid-week notes:
Tomorrow will be Lions Spirit Day in honor of our Lions Leadership Assembly in the afternoon. Wear you favorite Detroit Lions gear, or blue/silver colors.
The ATG Wreath Raffle will continue selling tickets during the lunch hour through Thursday. Drawings for the wreaths will be held on Friday. Tickets are 3 for $1, or $0.50 each.
School Store will also be open tomorrow during the lunch hour for students to shop during their recess time.
This week we are having some fun with our writing. Yesterday and today, we pretended we were an elf and "Elfed Ourself"! I will send their writing home on Friday with their adorable faces attached to the writing. We continue to introduce paragraph writing. This is challenging for many students. Perhaps, over the break, you can encourage some writing using an indent. Be sure to include a topic sentence and at least 3 or 4 details to support that topic. Then end it with a simple restating of the topic.
We enjoyed watching the dress rehearsal for our third grade concert tonight. Fifth grade has a concert tonight too.
Tomorrow we will do some reindeer writing and reading. Detroit Lions assembly will be held in the afternoon. Followed by ISM they will be presenting their animal research project.
Have a wonderful night!
