Hi, sorry this is Wednesday already and we haven't had any updates! But trust me, we have been very busy in room 23.
Our Penny Wars is going on all week! Bring in pennies and vote for U of M or MSU. Bring in nickels, dimes, quarters and put them in the apposing team to give them a negative number in their count! It's been really fun. To finish the spirit week, everyone is invited to wear BLUE OR GREEN on Friday!
We have had some students loose teeth this week and even a new pair of glasses! Today the Shelby Township Fire Department did a presentation for our students about fire safety. They will be hosting an open house the weekend if you would like to see more! Check out our photo album and see each child smile in front of the fire truck!
Tomorrow we will complete our reading part for NWEA. I will send results home once I have the information. Please be sure to have your child eat a good breakfast and send a healthy snack. I've been seeing lots of candy and cupcakes. Please do send healthy choices to keep their minds and bodies working hard!
You should have seen the Flat Stanley project come home this week. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Tonight you will see our first weekly packet of math homework. Remember, you have an entire week to have your child do these facts. I know some will have it done tonight! This is giving your child some extra practice on memorizing facts and responsibility for returning their completed work.
Have a great Wednesday!
