We are looking at rhyming words and how most look the same at the end of the word, but many are ready to really focus on the sounds they hear and that the words can sound the same in the last syllable, but be spelled differently. This is a great phonetic skill that is necessary for young children to master.
In math, we looked at explaining how equation chains work. For example:
20-10=5+5=2+2+2+2+2=7+3=10 You and I may see these like this: (20-10)=(5+5)=10...can you believe it, your children are looking at very basic and simple algebra! Yippee!!!
Square One Art information came home yesterday with the children. These are wonderful keepsake and gift items that your child creates!
Have a great evening!
