I am very proud of the children. Today they had to really focus on some long reading passages in NWEA. They worked to reach a goal and had to answer 40-44 questions today. The average student worked for 35-40 minutes. Some were a little faster others a little longer. But all in all, they did very well. Give some big hugs tonight. I will send a report home with them later this week.
New spelling words are coming home today. This will be the last week of formal spelling words.
Take a look at our lesson regarding building arrays. This is a tool for the students to see how multiplication works. It is a universal language that the rows, groups, sets go first in the equation. Followed with the how many are equally placed in each row, group, or set. To make a little more interesting, we used dice to create our arrays, then build the multiplication problem, show the array, and finish it with a repeated addition math sentence.
Have a wonderful evening!
