We had some fun with science today!
We started our morning with Grace R. sharing her write and tell about her favorite animal, the bangal tiger. It just so happens that I own a tiger skull. It was thrilling to see the students' reactions to the skull.
After lunch, we enjoyed a lesson from Mystery Science about why rivers flow the way they do. This connects to our erosion and earth's changes that we have been talking about. The students worked in pairs to create a landform. Then caused some rain to fall on the mountains. They observed where the water ran. Lots of great discussion!
We also enjoyed making landforms with PlayDough. While the class was working in small groups, we also make a "wave in a bottle" which simulates how waves move.
Tomorrow is wear green to school!
Enjoy the evening!
