I'm happy to share that our fall NWEA testing is completed. I will have the reports ready to share with you on Monday. You can watch for those to come home with your child. I was very please with how hard they worked on both math and reading, they deserve some extra TLC tonight!
We enjoyed a visit from the Shelby Township Fire Department today. They will be hosting an open house on Saturday, October 13 at the 23 Mile Road Station House #1. They will have water hoses, hot dogs, tours, and more. Your children had fun with the brief presentation today, so you may want to find some time next weekend to get a little more information about fire safety. You can see individual pictures in our photo albums tab above. Others are located here.
Another thrill today was a lost tooth! Congratulations Preston!
During our math stations this afternoon, the students had a chance to work in a small group with our Eisenhower student, Miss. Libby. They enjoyed looking at numbers using scales to help understand math mountains on a more hands-on approach. They worked with me in a small group as well pulling math problems out of a story. We practiced a couple of different strategies to get to the final answer. We will continue these same stations tomorrow afternoon so everyone will get to each rotation.
This week has flown by, please remember that tomorrow we have a spelling test. Enjoy the evening!
