Take a look at the warm up paper today coming home. Your child can show you how repeated addition turns into multiplication!
You will also see two math books coming home today. One is from the homework and remembering sheets. These are ones that we did not use in school. The other book is the workbook lessons. These are both to keep at home for extra practice. You may want to keep them in a safe place so you can work with your child on rainy days, snow days, Saturday mornings, etc. In order to move through the second part of second grade, it really is beneficial for your child to master these beginning of the year skills. I will also do some reviewing and remembering along the way with new concepts. New workbooks were passed out today to keep at school in their desk.
We started the WRITE AND TELL homework today. We needed to cover both Monday and Tuesday writers since we did not have school yesterday. If your child did not do the homework, please sit with them and help them accomplish this task. You can turn it in late because they all want to share! Thank you for the support in your child's learning and writing process.
Enjoy the evening!
