The class did hear me be stern today. The noise level was past being reminded, students were not being as kind as they should have been. Once the heard my "MOM" voice, they settled back in and got to work again. I know they get restless and I do provide lots of movement breaks. However, I also understand that they are capable of holding attention long enough to hear all directions given. I just wanted you to know that the kids heard a bigger voice than what I usually use in case you hear about tonight. LOL! My own children at home are used to it, but I don't bring that voice to the classroom very often.
Today we practiced our second fire drill. The children did well and had some fantastic questions. I was very proud of them.
You will see some papers coming home today that we completed together. If we do it together, I encourage the children to write D.T. (done together) on the top. That way you know that the answers should be correct because we completed the work to together.
This afternoon, after the students did some writing, we had three friends share. All showed great voice volume while sharing out to their classmates.
I hope you have a wonderful evening! I'm looking forward to seeing you next week at our Parent Curriculum Night.
