Dear Families,
What a surprise to have the snow days this week. It was fun to hear from the children some of the things they did over the past couple of days.
Miss. Newton is adjusting well and so are the children.
With our mixed up week, we will make some adjustments for next week. I did not give the spelling test today because we lost a couple of days of practice in the classroom. The spelling test will be next week Wednesday, so do not watch for new words to come home until the following Monday.
We will be taking our Unit 4 Theme Test next week, I will review with the students what to expect since this will be done on the computer alone. Up until this point, we have done them together. For the remainder of the units, it is required that the children do them independently.
Along with finishing our reading unit, we will also be finishing up the addition and subtraction unit. We will review early in the week, then test near the end of the week. I will show the students the test prior to taking it so they are confident and not surprised. I'm not trying to trick them at all, I just want to know what they are remembering and what they might be struggling with.
March is reading month is already here! Monday is wear a Dr. Suess hat to school!
Have a great weekend!
